Preparing for Merchant Onboarding

Prepare for the merchant assessment conversation.

Prepare the business and technical information needed for a merchant assessment.

Service scope, merchant eligibility, countries, and payment methods require confirmation through the relevant assessment.

01

Business identity and registration

Be ready to explain the company’s registered name, country of registration, and the person coordinating the enquiry. The relevant assessment may request evidence of registration and appropriate ownership or authorization information. This guide lists categories, not a definitive document checklist. Do not send identity documents or sensitive ownership records through the public enquiry form; collection arrangements must be agreed separately.

02

Activity, products, and service delivery

Describe what the business sells in practical terms. Include how an order is placed, how products or services are delivered, and how customers can raise questions. A clear explanation helps partners understand the activity being assessed. If your model includes unusual delivery timing or specialized payment flows, identify those points early rather than assume they fit a standard integration.

03

Sales channels and customer markets

Prepare the website or application details, the technology or ecommerce platform used, and the countries where customers are expected. Explain whether a digital channel is already operating or still being built. Relevant policies, service descriptions, and checkout information may need review. Exact expectations depend on the partner, activity, and intended market.

04

Operational policies and records

Know how the business handles fulfilment, cancellations, returns, refunds, customer communications, and payment questions. Explain the records used to match orders with payments and who owns each task. Partners may request information that supports their review, but this website cannot confirm a universal approval standard or documentation list. The assessment should establish what applies to your case.

05

Start with an outline, then agree the next step

Your initial enquiry should contain a business overview, registered country, sales channel, and payment need. That is enough to begin a scoped discussion without unnecessary sensitive data. Eligibility assessment, secure information collection, commercial arrangements, technical access, and testing follow the appropriate process. Preparing information does not guarantee acceptance or establish an activation date.
